IUCN Viet Nam has just completed an internal restructuring to streamline its work under its Strategic Framework 2007-2010.

Its five thematic programmes have been reorganised under two units: Governance & Business, and Environmental Change & Ecosystems.

After an internal interview process, IUCN VN is pleased to announce that Mr. Vu Minh Duc will serve as unit head for governance and business. The position is responsible for supervising supporting staff, representing the programme internally and externally, coordinating proposal development and fundraising.

Mr. Luong Quang Huy was selected to head the environmental change and ecosystems unit and will assume the same responsibilities at the helm of that programme.

Ms. Pham Hong Nhung, who has held a position in reception for six months, has moved on to a new role supporting projects focusing on marine and coastal ecosystems and the LLS strategy.

IUCN VN also would like to extend its sincere thanks to Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Hue, communications coordinator; Mr. Ly Minh Dang, water and wetlands programme manager; Ms. Nguyen Thi Yen, forest and protected areas programme manager; and Ms. Tran Thi Thu Trang, assistant to the country representative. Those four individuals will be moving on from IUCN in their careers after having provided the office with valuable input and assistance. They will be missed.
