IUCN Viet Nam has continued its streamlined work under its new organizational structure, in which all program staff reports to one of two units: Governance & Business or Environmental Change & Ecosystems.

The country office has taken on a number of summer or long-term interns to support daily operations. Mr. Jonathan DeLuca joined the Governance & Business Unit after finishing a post working on ecotourism development with the Centre for Marinelife Conservation and Community Development in Hanoi.

Ms. Anna Brittain is supporting IUCN VN’s work on climate change before returning to the University of California Santa Barbara to complete her master’s degree in Environmental Science and Management. Her interest is in solutions to climate change in the most vulnerable developing countries and using environmental media to increase awareness.

Ms. Doan Minh Phuong is offering her services to the financial department as an intern accountant. She recently finished her bachelor’s degree at Thang Long University in finances and accounting and has completed a graduate thesis on banking services.

Finally, IUCN VN was sorry to accept the resignation of Ms. Nguyen Thi Kieu Trang, accountant. Her many contributions to the country office have been valuable and appreciated.
