The European Union Representative Office (IUCN EURO) is located in Brussels, often referred to as the capital of the European Union (EU).
IUCN EURO represents IUCN’s interests to the EU and acts as liaison between the IUCN constituency, the EU institutions and Brussels-based partners. The Office is the focal point for EU nature policies, EU fundraising, partnerships and networking. Influencing decisions and raising awareness of nature conservation among the EU institutions are also at the core of its mandate. IUCN EURO hosts staff dedicated to the above mentioned functions as well as project staff. The Brussels office of EUROPARC, an IUCN Member, is also hosted at these premises.
