IUCN vision and position on IPBES

IUCN strongly believes that IPBES should be deeply rooted in the culture of engagement with the civil society in every aspect of its work. This would benefit the legitimacy and the credibility of the Platform, drawing on contributions of knowledge and experience holders. It would enhance the uptake of IPBES products by policy-makers, including in non-environmental sectors and in the business community.

IUCN is steadily offering options and arguments during the establishment phase of IPBES. You will find below the collection of IUCN written contributions, sorted by type.
