Informal scientific Workshop on Assesssment

The purpose of the workshop was to increase the understanding of the nature and scope of assessments to be undertaken by IPBES, and to provide options and recommendations as well as a more detailed analysis of the key elements that might guide the discussions and decisions to be made at the plenary meeting.

The workshop was organized by the Ministry of Environment of Japan, United Nations University Institute for Sustainability and Peace (UNU-ISP), Government of The Republic of South Africa and UNEP.
