The Science and Knowledge Management Unit (SKM) is the coordination centre for science in IUCN and is responsible for ensuring that relevant scientific knowledge is employed to support programme implementation. As part of this task, the unit facilitates strong links with the external networks that are relevant to IUCN’s work. The unit is also the focal point for knowledge management in IUCN’s Programme and in this regard, provides the Secretariat link with the Commission on Education and Communication (CEC)
