These assessments have been made with thorough consultation with specialists of each species within the Lagomorph Specialist Group, or others, as appropriate. The status is not fixed, and a refreshed assessment will be made whenever we receive updated information on the status of any species (i.e. changes in the current geographic range of the species, changes in population size, new or relaxed threats to the species, etc.).
