Training trainers in Yemen on designing and implementing public awareness campaigns

Under the patronage of the Yemeni Minister of Water and Environment HE Dr. Abdel Rahman Eleryani, IUCN, International Union for Conservation of Nature- Regional Office for West Asia conducted a regional training workshop entitled How to Design and Implement Public Awareness Campaigns in partnership with Inwent - Capacity Building International, and Sana’a University. The 5-day-training course, which was held from 4-8 October 2009 in Sana’a – Yemen, built the capacities of thirty trainers on designing and implementing environmental public awareness campaigns. …

IUCN West Asia contributes to the gender and climate change training in Bangkok

In parallel with the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) Meeting in Bangkok, IUCN Regional Office for West Asia participated in the Training of Trainers on Gender and Climate Change. This Asian chapter of the training is the fifth in a series of successful workshops held previously in Europe, USA, and the Caribbean and the Americas. Forty five Asian sustainable development and climate change practitioners attended this three-day-training course which was convened by the Global Gender and Climate Alliance (GGCA) during Sept. 24-26, 2009 in Bangkok. …
