CARPE Small Grant - Phase III

The Central African Regional Program for the Environment (CARPE) and the IUCN-The International Union for Conservation of Nature wish to inform the general public that they have just launched the third phase of their Small Grants Program. This phase, which starts from October 28, 2008 to January 06, 2009 aims to strengthening civil society for conservation as an essential requisite to reach sustainable forest conservation in Central Africa..
To this effect, interested NGOs and local associations, Non Governmental research centres, Independent researchers, women and minority groups in all nine countries covered by the activities of CARPE (Burundi, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Congo-Brazzaville, Democratic Republic of Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Rwanda and Sao Tomé and Principe) are expected to send in first their concept note before November 30, 2008 to the respective IUCN-CARPE Focal Points. Those selected will be asked to submit a full project proposal that will be sent to a selection committee.
