LOOKING FOR A LEADER

The Green Economy concept is gaining increasing profile in environmental circles but what’s needed to make it a mainstream endeavour? Who is currently leading the drive and who should be in the driving seat? Can we expect business to take a leading role when many companies are struggling for survival in the ongoing financial crisis?

The feature article Looking for a leader for our latest World Conservation Debate looks at what progress is being made to turn the green economy vision into reality - who is making the bold moves and who is shying away from responsibility.

As preparations gear up for the UN Conference on Sustainable Development (Rio+20) next year at which greening the economy will be a central theme, we ask for your thoughts on what’s needed to speed up the transition to a new, truly green, economic order.
