On December 17th and 18th 2008 in Yaounde, Cameroon, the Center for the Environment and Development (CED) held a meeting of the Platform of the Cameroonian civil society on the role of the civil society in the implementation and monitoring of the Voluntary Partnership Agreement (APV).

This agreement should make it possible to continue and develop exports of tropical wood in the European Union in a clarified legal framework. The debates were focused on the various additional documents of this agreement. It should be noted that the CED organized this meeting as a coordinator of the platform of the European Council Forest Program (ECFP). cedcameroon@ced.org / adonis.milol@iucn.org
