Reform of CEFDHAC: National fora established

09 March 2009 | News story

Workshops were organized in November 2008 to establish national fora, respectively in Kigali in Rwanda, Bujumbura in Burundi and Sao Tome and Principe.

In each of these countries, the national fora were established, focus themes were identified, the 2009-2011 operation plans were adjusted in the Convergence Plan of the Central African Forest Commission (COMIFAC) and the various Presidents were elected. The same exercise will be carried out in seven other countries (Gabon, Chad, Equatorial Guinea, CAR, DRC, Congo, Cameroon) by January 2009. Once all these fora put in place, the Steering committee will be organized. cleto.ndikumagenge@iucn.org .
