ENVIRONMENT magazine: South Africa IUCN members partner with other organizations to launch the world-class magazine

Four IUCN members in South Africa, the Endangered Wildlife Trust, Game Rangers Association of Africa, the Wildlife and Environment Society of South Africa, and the Wilderness Foundation; have teamed up with three other organizations in South Africa to launch a brand new magazine.

Launched at the colourful ceremony held at Michelangelo Hotel, Nelson Mandela Square, Johannesburg, South Africa; the magazine aims to “inform, educate and enlighten government and civil society about the crucial environmental issues facing Southern Africa.”

As part of the launch of this historic magazine, leading broadcaster, Jeremy Maggs hosted and chaired a panel discussion on the critical importance of biodiversity with business and conservation leaders including the IUCN Councillor for Africa, Ms Yolan Friedmann.

The other organizations involved are The Cape Leopard Trust, the Southern African Foundation for the Conservation of Coastal Birds, and the Wildlands Conservation Trust.
