A Selection of Projects funded under SOS Third Call for Proposals

Furthering our support for threatened species, SOS announces a selection of 25 projects to be funded under its Third Call for Proposals (CFP3) issued in mid-2013.
Several more projects are yet to be announced and project details for all will be published on the SOS website in the coming months.
Under CFP3, SOS deepens its support for threatened marine species, western and central African vertebrates and the world of plants. Several projects working to protect various shark and ray projects will begin in the in the Pacific near to Costa Rica and Chile as well as the Cape Verde Islands in the Atlantic. Moreover, other marine species targeted by projects include the African manatee, the Mediterranean Monk Seal and several varieties of marine turtles.
Meanwhile other projects will help protect conifers and cycads in China, Fiji, Mexico, Malawi and Uganda. Across Central and Western Africa, SOS is also funding a portfolio of projects protecting various species of primates and quadrupeds including mammals, turtles and the Togo Slippery Frog.
A summary of these 25 projects can be viewed in the accompanying download on the lower right hand side of this page. Finally, SOS will be announcing soon the remaining projects that have qualified for funding under its Third Call for Proposals.
