Previous 4 workshops to Murcia Conference

Prior to the Murcia Conference, the IUCN Centre for Mediterranean Cooperation through 4 preparatory workshops has been able to mobilise over 100 experts, 6 donors, and experience from 15 countries to discuss Mediterranean specificities and assess how the Durban process can reinforce protected area management in our region. A meeting organised jointly with the RAC/SPA of the Barcelona Convention has allowed the national Park Directors of North Africa to meet and exchange their experiences for the first time in Tunis in December 2002.
