MPSG Supporters

Bundesamt für Naturschutz, the German Federal Agency for Nature Conservation, has provided support for coordination and publication of the MPSG newsletter, Medicinal Plant Conservation since 1995, and is providing support for our work on an International Standard for Sustainable Wild Collection of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants (ISSC-MAP).

The Canadian Museum of Nature has provided an institutional home for the MPSG since 2000.

IUCN-Canada is supporting our work on the ISSC-MAP.

The Medicinal and Aromatic Plants Programme in Asia (MAPPA), a joint programme of the International Development Research Centre (IDRC) and IFAD, have provided programme development support for the South Asia regional sub-group of the MPSG.

The World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF – Germany) is supporting complementary work on the ISSC-MAP. WWF - UK has supported MPSG’s work on behalf of IUCN to revise the 1993 Guidelines on the Conservation of Medicinal Plants in collaboration with WHO, WWF, and TRAFFIC.

The Society for Wildlife and Nature (SWAN) International is supporting the work of MPSG on behalf of IUCN to revise the 1993 Guidelines on the Conservation of Medicinal Plants.

Winrock International is providing programme development support for the South Asia regional sub-group of the MPSG.

Members' home institutions - Members of MPSG are supported in their work and enabled to contribute to the MPSG by the institutions for which they work.
