Introduction
While neither a Stream

is an important sub-theme. WCPA

the integration of Tourism-related issues into several Congress
workshop streams, cross
cutting themes, the plenary
session Day 9 on Strategic Alliances and inclusion
of a Tourism-specific
Recommendation arising from the Congress.
Through the Congress,
the WCPA -Task Force on Tourism & Protected Areas will input
through COP
7 to CBD. and strengthen ongoing strategic alliances between
IUCN - WCPA and key stakeholders involved in the development of
policy and guidelines, seeking a more sustainable partnership between
tourism and protected areas. The Task Force will support the IUCN
"Building Support for Protected Areas" 10 year
plan.
