In an effort to support, facilitate, and disseminate the scholarly contributions of IUCN staff, Members, and Commission Members, a list of selected open access journals, subscription journals, databases and digital libraries has been compiled.

Open Access Publishing in European Networks (OAPEN) has announced the launch of a beta version of the Directory of Open Access Books (DOAB). This tool enables users to search for peer reviewed books and provides a searchable index to information about books published under an Open Access license and links to the full-text of these materials. The resource currently contains 755 academic peer-reviewed books from 23 publishers, with new documents added regularly.
