“Securing Rights and Restoring lands for improved livelihoods” project is a three-year-project, implemented by IUCN Regional Office for West Asia (ROWA) and funded by the European Union, aiming at poverty reduction, sustainable management and restoration of ecosystems in drylands and rangelands. Four pilot areas were selected in Jordan within Zarqa and Mafraq governorates.

The Arab Women Organization held a training workshop from Nov. 26-28th , 2012 about gender and dividing roles between men and women as part of the project:“Securing Rights and Restoring lands for improved livelihoods”.
The workshop, held in cooperation with IUCN and the Ministry of Agriculture was carried out for Project team members, MoA partners and representatives of the targeted communities to assess gender integration in the Project activities and to suggest amendments that would take into account gender equality in the next phase of the project.

ضمن خطة مشروع ضمان الحقوق و اعاده تأهيل المراعي والأراضي الجافة، عقدت جمعية النساء العربيات بالتعاون مع الاتحاد الدولي لحماية الطبيعة ووزارة الزراعة دورة تدريب حول النوع الاجتماعي وتقسيم الأدوار بين الجنسين من أجل تحقيق التنمية المستدامة.

شارك في التدريب فريق عمل المشروع والشركاء من وزارة الزراعة وممثلين عن المجتمعات المستهدفة بهدف تقييم مستوى ادماج النوع الاجتماعي في نشاطات المشروع وإقتراح تعديلات تضمن مراعاة النوع الاجتماعي في المرحلة القادمة في المشروع
