IUCN ROWA 10th Regional Conservation Forum

The RCF aims to provide IUCN Members (governments, NGOs, indigenous peoples’ organizations) with a platform to engage with each other, discuss and debate key conservation issues, and prepare for effective program planning and membership business. It also serves as an opportunity to initiate discussions on regional participation in the next IUCN Congress 2025. Additionally, the RCF contributes to strengthening knowledge and networking for biodiversity conservation in the region.

The forum uniquely prepares members for the Congress by discussing key deadlines, drafts of the IUCN Programme, and providing updates on the Motion process and the implementation of IUCN Resolutions and Recommendations.

The 10th IUCN ROWA Regional Conservation Forum (RCF) will take place from 9 to 11 September 2024 in Riyadh, hosted by the State of Saudi Arabia. This forum serves as a crucial platform for IUCN Members, including governments, NGOs, and indigenous peoples’ organizations, to discuss key conservation issues, plan programs, and address membership matters. It also aims to enhance knowledge sharing and networking for biodiversity conservation across the region.
