IUCN SSC Quarterly Report March 2026
The IUCN SSC Quarterly Reports aims to share the activities of the SSC Chair's Office and highlights from the IUCN SSC Network, while offering a space to reflect and discuss conservation issues, with the IUCN SSC leaders, members, IUCN Secretariat, the broader IUCN community, and partners.
The March 2026 quarterly report of the IUCN Species Survival Commission (SSC) presents the updated IUCN SSC Species Conservation Cycle. This updated conceptual framework will guide IUCN SSC Groups in setting their targets, as well as developing and reporting their work towards achieving Species Impact. This report shares two featured stories to highlight important advances in the conservation of migratory and freshwater species. It also includes brief updates from IUCN SSC Chair’s Office units, as well as information on the latest publications produced by IUCN SSC Groups.
