It's hard to process that Kathy has left us, having just spent an hour with her last Thursday, discussing work we were planning to do together. Kathy was not only a fierce advocate for protected areas and biodiversity conservation, she was also the warm, engaging and caring hub of a global conservation family. That was her magic.
