I have been a member of the Chameleon Specialist Group (CSG) since 2011, served as the group's Chair from 2019-2025 and have been its Co-Chair since 2026. Professionally, I am an Associate Professor in the Department of Biology at the University of South Dakota. My research focuses on understanding physiological systems in an ecological and evolutionary context, with a deep interest and focus on examining questions relating to the biology of chameleons. I have worked with chameleons professionally and privately for more than 28 years and have extensive experience working with them across much of their natural and introduced range, as well as in captivity.

I am an herpetologist by training and holding more than five years of experiences in conducting rapid biodiversity assessment of amphibians and reptiles accross Madagascar. Amoung reptiles, I have interested more in conducting an integrative research and conservation of chameleons, which are the most diverse and emblematic species of reptiles in Madagascar.
