Besides, one of the most important outcomes of the study - analysis of the Georgian legislation related to the scope of the study and recommendations for its improvement were presented by the consultants.
A very important task assigned to the consultants was to prepare suggestions about small scale projects to be implemented in 4 regions which were identified for this study. As a result several such suggestions related to the strengthening of capacity of local communities for revenue collection from utilization of timber and non-timber forest products in a sustainable manner were given by the Institute.
Participants of the meeting made valuable comments on the report and suggestions mainly on future implementation of small scale projects.
