NetworkNature establishes a European and global platform allowing all interested stakeholders to access and contribute cutting-edge, innovative knowledge and expertise on nature-based solutions (NbS). Our consortium represents all relevant stakeholder groups and has access to a range of related networks. We have a strong track record and extensive expertise on this topic in terms of engagement, content, technical know-how and involvement in relevant policy processes at European Union (EU) and global level. This allows us to maximise the EU’s potential to become a global leader in deploying innovative NbS to address societal challenges, building on the ongoing work of all Horizon 2020 and BiodivERsA-funded NbS projects as well as relevant other initiatives and programmes in Europe and beyond.

To accomplish the stated overall goal of the project and respond to the requirements of the call SC5-23-2019 ‘Multi-stakeholder dialogue platform to promote nature-based solutions to societal challenges: follow-up project’, the specific objectives of the project are as follows:
1. To consolidate, expand and support a community of practice for NBS across science, business, policy and practice from sub-national to global level, across the rural-urban continuum, with a particular focus on innovative NBS, through a solid platform governance;
2. To promote the increase and upscaling of NBS implementation across key areas of science, business, policy and practice;
3. To build a broad base of support for NBS amongst society at large.
