One of the problems faced by the government and the civil society in Balochistan is the lack of capacity to address the complex environmental issues. Keeping in view the deficiency in the capacity of the stakeholders the Balochistan Partnership for Sustainable Development (BPSD) is implementing its capacity building programme for the government and civil society organizations for better management of the environmental issues.

The participants of the workshop hailed from Gwadar and Lasbela districts of Balochistan. The objective of the workshop was to familiarize the representatives of the Government of Balochistan Line Departments and representatives from CSO with the new and emerging concepts of Project Development and basic approach of the project formation on amended/revised PC-1 format used by the Planning Commission of Pakistan and provincial line departments and district administration.

The Balochistan Partnership for Sustainable Development (BPSD) activities are concentrated in six districts including: Gawader, Lasbela, Mastung, Quetta, Pishin, and Qila Saifullah.

Overall objective of the Balochistan Partnership for Sustainable Development (BPSD) is to support the development of Integrated District Development Visions, promote good environmental governance, and demonstrate pilot projects to promote water and coastal resource conservation using integrated approaches.
