Dr Mike VAN KEULEN
Associate Professor Mike van Keulen is a marine ecologist with a broad range of interests including marine plant ecology and physiology, coral reef ecology and biological hydrodynamics. He has research experience and expertise in physiology and ecology of marine plants and algae, hydrodynamics of seagrass ecosystems, seagrass rehabilitation. He also has interests in ecology and interactions of coral reef organisms. As well as his expertise in marine plants, Dr van Keulen has research collaborations in a broad range of tropical and temperate marine topics, including invertebrate and vertebrate biology and wildlife ecology. His research has focused on Perth metropolitan coastal waters, Ningaloo Reef and SE Asia. Dr van Keulen is currently Associate Professor in Plant Sciences & Marine Biology at Murdoch University as well as Director of the Coral Bay Research Station, which also operates out of Murdoch.
