Society for the Conservation of Nature of Liberia
The Society for the Conservation of Nature of Liberia (SCNL) is the first national non-governmental, non-political and non-profit conservation organization in Liberia with the aim of building public constitutes for nature conservation. SCNL is currently involved in a number of Conservation programs such as the important Bird/biodiversity Areas, Local Community Empowerment in forest areas and influencing policies for nature conservation and environmental protection. These conservation programs are implemented through projects that are mostly donor supported. SCNL also belongs to an International network of conservation organisations known as Birdlife International (BLI) and is the official BLI partner in Liberia.
