Sungi Development Foundation

Sungi Development Foundation was established in 1989 by Omar Asghar Khan as non-profit non-governmental organization. Being one of the largest NGOs, Sungi works to bring about policy and institutional changes by mobilizing deprived and marginalised communities with a view of creating an enviroment in which communities at the local level may be able to transform their lives through equitable and sustainable use of resources. Sungi has evolved a unique approach whereby it has combined advocacy work with grass root development to bring about an enviromentally sustainable socio-economic development order.
