International Association for Falconry and Conservation of Birds of Prey

The IAF is a federation of national organisations. It is run entirely by volunteers, in order to balance the interests of wildlife conservation through sustainable use and employment that in some cases favours intensivation. It takes short term decisions through presidential consultation with an advisory committee (AC) and otherwise through vote in the council of national delegates. It is a democracy, with officers elected and AC approved by council of delegates.
