National Tropical Botanical Garden

A nonprofit organization that is dedicated to conserving tropical plants via both in situ and ex situ strategies. NTBG has 10 properties including five botanic gardens and five preserves. We work primarily in the tropical Pacific by working to implement the Global Strategy for Plant Conservation. The Breadfruit Institute is part of the NTBG and manages the world's largest collection of breadfruit trees and is work in 30 countries globally to use breadfruit to alleviate hunger and create micro-economic opportunities for local communities.
