Mediterranean Institute for Nature and Anthropos

MedINA was legally established in September 2003 as a non-profit organization, based in Athens, Greece. Its main priority areas have been the cultural values of wetlands, landscapes and sacred natural sites and more recent additions are traditional practices and ecological knowledge and the development of integrated approaches for the management of natural and cultural heritage. Its geographical scope is mainly the Mediterranean region and its main fields of action are the design and implementation of projects and research activities, the dissemination of knowledge through publications, communication activities, conferences and workshops, informing policy and building partnerships with multi-disciplinary stakeholders.
