Center for Conservation Strategy, The New York Botanical Garden

Thematically, activities of the Center for Conservation Strategy (CCS) derive from The Global Strategy for Plant Conservation (GSPC). All of the CCS's projects address one or more of the GSPC's five objectives and sixteen targets, thus positioning CCS to be a leader in local, regional, and global conservation efforts. Geographically, the CCS focuses on projects in Areas of Botanical Concern (ABCs), which are regions where conservation action is urgent and CCS is well positioned to lead conservation efforts or have a major influence on their outcomes: North America, Caribbean, Southeast Asia, Pacific, Atlantic Coastal Forest of Brazil, and Amazonia.
