The Swedish Association of Zoos and Aquariums is the leading organization for zoos, aquariums and tropical houses in Sweden, with 19 members & 5 associated members. We drive the development of the sector and represent it vis-a-vis authorities and politicians. In addition, we are a sustainable actor in animal- and nature conservation, and enables cooperation and development within a network of zoos. Together, our Swedish members zoos, have annually approx. 8 million visitors, and our members play an important role in spreading knowledge about animals and nature, in addition to conservation, breeding and research.
