The specific objectives are:

• contribute to peccary conservation through management and research
• consolidate the group of researchers and other people interested in the biology, conservation and management of peccaries
• foster communication, coordination, collaboration and exchange of information.

We are a group of dedicated researchers and conservationists that share common interest in peccary ecology, natural history, evolution and conservation. We are spread over the countries that cover the distribution of the three species of peccaries. We work in the main ecosystems where peccaries inhabit but also in captive environments. The group is composed of experts in ecology, genetics and social issues. We aim to inspire young researchers and conservationists to join us to help peccary conservation by doing research, elaborating conservation actions and spreading the message to stakeholders and to future generations.
