Bolivia's Chiquitano Model Forest

Chiquitano Model Forest, located in Bolivia, is the largest tropical dry forest in the Americas. Spanning more than 20 million hectares and serving as the home of 200,000+ people, Chiquitano Model Forest is working proof that community restoration and protection efforts are crucial to meeting global landscape ambitions.

This factsheet provides information on Chiquitano Model Forest, one of 60 Model Forests currently supported by the International Model Forest Network (IMFN), and how it is working to meet global restoration goals. This publication has been produced with financial support from the Government of Canada’s Global Forest Leadership Program and through the International Model Forest Network (IMFN) Secretariat's IMFN Climate initiative.
