MISSION
The Pelican Specialist Group (Old World and New World Sections) exists to carry out, support and promote scientific research and conservation activities aimed at Old World and New World pelicans and enhance cooperation and diffusion of knowledge.
Understanding threats to pelicans
Pelicans face both known and emerging threats. PSG studies these at local and global levels.
Pelicans at the IUCN Red List
PSG contributes information and expertise to status assessments for the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species to inform conservation efforts.
