Recognising that the Western Indian Ocean is home to some of the world's most important seagrass habitats, the Western Indian Ocean Coastal and Ocean Resilience (WIOCOR) project is supporting the development of a regional network of local actors who are leading positive change on marine and coastal ecosystems, particularly on seagrass.

With the support of the French Facility for Global Environment (FFEM), we are delighted to announce that we will provide up to US$1 million in grants for locally-driven projects and actions on seagrass and blue economy in Kenya, Tanzania, Madagascar, Comoros and Mozambique.
