Effective and sustainable governance of agri-food systems is based on a stream of different stages: starting with sound legal drafting, enactment of appropriate laws, as well as their effective implementation, compliance, and enforcement. Legislation requires adequate and well-equipped administrative and executive processes, as well as capacity to implement and enforce at all stages.

This webinar aims to raise awareness of the importance of sound legislation and the need to build capacity for the effective implementation, compliance and enforcement of the law. The sustainable management of agri-food systems as well as natural resources will be explored through their effective implementation, compliance and enforcement, looking in particular at trends and innovative solutions.

A high-level panel of experts will lead three roundtable discussions on Identifying Challenges to Legislation, and Compliance; Innovative solutions for Better Law-Making; and Finding Solutions in Accelerating Compliance and Enforcement. This webinar will bring together leading experts from public, private sector and academia. Emphasis will be placed on evaluating challenges and opportunities ahead.

Agenda and streaming link will follow closer to the date.
