The IUCN World Commission on Environmental Law's Biodiversity Law Specialist Group and The Centre for Environmental Law, Macquarie University are delighted to invite you to the final Law and Nature Dialogue webinar on Thursday the 16th of June at 1pm AEST.

The Law and Nature Dialogues webinar series hosts leading scholars from around the world to address a broad range of cutting-edge biodiversity law issues.

In this final webinar of the series, we welcome Prof. Margaret Davies, Research Professor and Matthew Flinders Distinguished Professor of Law in the College of Business, Government, and Law at Flinders University, author of six books on legal theory and Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences in Australia and Australian Academy of Law.

The title of Prof. Margaret Davies’ webinar is “Legality, Life, and the Normativity of Nature.” The webinar will discuss the plurality of norms, normative worlds and normative fields bringing together the ecological and the human/social by viewing these multiple planes of normativity as connected and mutually constitutive.

The session will be chaired by CEL Deputy Director Paul Govind.
