Contribute to the IUCN Green List Fair Financing Survey

IUCN is conducting a survey to explore the views relating to the IUCN Green List and the associated costs. It also serves to explore views relating to the "willingness to pay" for the IUCN Green List and the fair distribution of costs. These views will be analysed to support further discussion and review of the costs associated with the IUCN Green List programme. Contribute to the survey by 5th of August.

The IUCN Green List of Protected and Conserved Areas (IUCN Green List) programme includes a 'Fair Finance' initiative that aims to secure revenues, by 2020, to support all IUCN Green List operational costs and to bring new and additional resources to support participating conservation areas. Furthermore, the IUCN Green List programme has benefited from multiple funding sources, but for it to be sustainable and to have a high global impact, options for sustainable financing must be identified and analysed for future suitability.

The study is part of a professional placement by Matt Perry, a student on the MPhil in Conservation Leadership in the Department of Geography, University of Cambridge, UK. Email: mjp207@cam.ac.uk
