I am a native of Madagascar. I received my PhD at the State University of New York USA 2002 and my HDR at the University of Antananarivo, Madagascar in 2011. I am a Faculty lecturer at the University of Antananarivo. I am the Co-Vice Chair - Madagascar section, IUCN/SSC Primate Specialist Group; the Director of Houston Zoo, Madagascar Program; and the President of the Madagascar Primate Research Group (GERP). I am a member of the Malagasy Academia, the African Academic of Sciences (AAS) and The World Academic of Sciences (TWAS).
