Cameroon's Dja et Mpomo and Campo Ma'an Model Forests
Dja et Mpomo and Campo Ma’an Model Forests, located Cameroon, is empowering communities and helping local forests recover. Covering more than 2 million hectares and engage 226 villages and 2,000 farmers combined, Cameroon’s Model Forests are working proof that innovative and inclusive community governance is the first step in meeting global ambitions.
This factsheet provides information on the Dja et Mpomo and Campo Ma’an Model Forests, two of 60 Model Forests currently supported by the International Model Forest Network (IMFN), and how it is working to meet global restoration goals.
