This road test version of a gender-forward forest landscape restoration (FLR) incubation and acceleration protocol for use in community-managed forest landscapes is made available for review and comment from stakeholders.
This protocol can be used by a range of diverse stakeholders, including forest landscape managers, planners, and members of community-managed forests. It offers practical guidance on how to effectively use a selection of IUCN tools and knowledge products for restoration and conservation projects. It also promotes the integration of gender-responsive approaches into FLR projects and the related use of IUCN tools and knowledge products. The list of tools and knowledge products included in the protocol, as well as their accompanying explanations, should not be considered exhaustive. Stakeholders should supplement their use of this protocol with additional reading, references for which are included in this document.
