Application of the Restoration Barometer in Costa Rica

Authors: Nello, T., Rivera, P., Putzeys, G.,
Abstract

Ecosystem restoration has been recognized as an effective means of mitigating climate change, reversing biodiversity and soil loss at the same time. The Restoration Barometer, originally created to allow countries to report their progress under the Bonn Challenge, provides a tool that adapts to the availability of information and diverse restoration approaches implemented around the world. This report presents Costa Rica’s progress in this area.
