Financing the Future of Primary Forests in Southeast Asia and the Pacific

The Southeast Asia and the Pacific (SEAP) region is home to some of the world's most ecologically significant remaining tropical primary forests. This stocktaking report maps the current landscape of forest-related economic activity, financing mechanisms, and investment solutions, identifying both structural gaps and emerging opportunities to mobilize capital at scale.

The report is designed as a foundational reference for governments, investors, private sector actors, development partners, and civil society organizations seeking to accelerate the transition toward a regenerative, forest-positive economy grounded in high-integrity Nature-based Solutions (NbS).
