IUCN Director General’s open letter to Members ahead of UN CBD COP 15
Dear IUCN Members,
As IUCN (International Union for Conservation of Nature), we have an enormous responsibility. Since 1948, we have been the global authority keeping our finger on the pulse of biodiversity.

This side event will bring together high-level representatives of governments and relevant organisations to highlight why ecological connectivity is crucial to the long-term success of the Post-2020 Global Biodiversity Framework (GBF).

IUCN participated in the CBD COP15 in Montreal to advocate for a post-2020 Global Biodiversity Framework that sets coherent and ambitious goals and targets to halt and reverse the loss of biodiversity by 2030.
