Rangers from Zimbabwe, Kenya and DRC among global award winners
Kigali, Rwanda, 20 July 2022 (IUCN) - At the IUCN Africa Protected Areas Congress, twelve rangers and ranger teams from around the world received an International Ranger Award today for their extraordinary commitment to protecting nature and helping local communities.

The event will present a stocktake of knowledge, solutions and actions for effective ocean governance to achieve conservation and sustainable use, encompassing climate and biodiversity.

From 27 June to 1 July, an IUCN delegation, led by the Director General, is participating in the second UN Ocean Conference, “Scaling up Ocean Action Based on Science and Innovation for the Implementation of Goal 14: Stocktaking, Partnerships and Solutions.”
