• トヨタは、「トヨタ環境チャレンジ2050」の実現に向けた重要なプロジェクトとして、IUCNとのパートナーシップにより、生物多様性の危機に関する知見を拡充。トヨタは、IUCNの活動を5年間支援する予定であり、2016年は約120万ドルの助成を実施。 • IUCNは、アセスメント(評価)を実施済みの絶滅のおそれのある生物種を、現在の8万種から2020年までに2倍の16万種に増やし、地球上の生物多様性の保全状況をより包括的に把握するという目標に向けて大きく前進。トヨタの支援により、今後アセスメントが必要な8万種の生物種うち、35%に相当する2万8千種以上のアセスメントが可能に。
