Before the pre-conference, there was a visit to Nante (Maganja da Costa and Nicoadala) and rice milling factories in Namacura. This visit aimed to observe first-hand the difficulties faced by the populations due to the lack of the dikes conditions, which hinder irrigation and consequently reduce progress in irrigation, as shared by local communities, residents, and farmers.
